The house stands on a waterfront plot and is positioned to make the most of its views. Its location responds to the terrain: the building occupies the flatter part of the site, while the land slopes more steeply towards the river. The total floor area is 185.4 m². The principal rooms and terrace face the river, the site’s defining natural feature and main view.
The architecture is defined by an elongated composition, an expressive roof profile and generous overhangs that create sheltered outdoor spaces. A canopy marks the main entrance. Set beneath the same roof as the house, the terrace connects the living spaces directly to the garden.
Timber louvre screens form part of the façade composition, control sunlight and provide additional protection from rain over the terrace and entrance.
The pitched roof creates a sense of space, air and light inside the house.
The plan is organised into clearly defined functional zones. The entrance area includes a hall, a walk-in wardrobe and a service zone with a bathroom. The communal heart of the house brings the kitchen, dining room and living room together in one space, opening onto the terrace and barbecue area. A sliding partition separates the private wing from the shared areas, improving acoustic comfort and privacy.
Tucked into a sheltered corner, the terrace is protected from the wind.
A barbecue grill is built into one of the walls.
